Our only Holiday Event for 2020 is participating as a *virtual* vendor at Julmarknadwith our friends at The American Swedish Institute.
Inspired by the American Swedish Institute's call to help fill their lobby with Hearts, for Julmarknad 2020, we wanted to make a heart for you.
Basket Hearts are an important Swedish symbol, and now we have all come to know hearts during this pandemic as a symbol of hope placed in our windows for our friends and neighbors to see.
This is indeed An extra/ordinary Holiday in extraordinary Times!
The hearts can be used as holiday baskets to hide a treat in (like the Swedish tradition), to decorate your holiday tree, to brighten up your windows, or wherever you see fit! And... they are a great gift to yourself and/or your family, friends, and neighbors.
Each heart is 100% Upcycled and one-of-a-kind. Your heart was made from fabric cut-off's from our bicycle bags.
*Because none of these ornaments are the same, we have put the decorations in color groups. For purchase, please select your color group and we will send you our selection from that group. If you have a very specific request about what you want from the images, please email me.
Materials used vary by ornament, they include:
1000 Denier Nylon
100 Denier Nylon
Dimensions (approximate): 4 1/2 x 4 inches (height x width).
Handcrafted by Owner + Creative Director DeAnn
Care Instructions: Wipe clean with a damp white cloth.
It is our hope that each time you look at your Swedish Heart Decoration you will remember how important it is to hold hope in your heart, remember our friends at the American Swedish Institute (perhaps with a donation, membership or other form of gift), remember the importance of sustainability for the health of our planet, and remember the people who are part of your community by shopping local and small.
Thank you for your purchase and we hope to see you at the next Julmarknad in person!
